Record Review: Pound Ridge
By Ellen S.Best
As Scotts Corners celebrates a tremendous upswing in appearance, sprit and service to residents with new businesses and activities, it’s important to give nod to the ones with longevity. We dined at DiNardo’s this past weekend, as we have over the past decades, and once again appreciated the way the restaurant has maintained its family atmosphere all these years. Beyond the authentic Italian cuisine that is the foundation of its success, the feelings of the place has root in owner Frank Salvi’s heartfelt leadership and his staff whom he treats like family. I was told that, for the first time, Frank is away, taking extended time off in Italy; the restaurant is still running like a charm. As always. at the end of each evening, the employees sit down together for a family-style meal with wine. It’s great that a local business treats its employees so well and that’s reflected in how they treat their customers. Its creates an ambience to enjoy along with our meal, adding with our meal, adding so much to our town.
